- It marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between New Delhi and Beijing.
- The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra as well as direct flights between the two countries were suspended in 2020.

- The trade volume between India and China reached 126.6 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2024, showing a 1.9 percent year-on-year growth.
