- According to a 143-nation survey, India appears far from the prepared, ranking 123rd in its readiness to tackle the challenges of an aging population.
- Switzerland emerged as the readiest country, followed by Norway and Denmark.
- Singapore ranked 10th—first among Asian countries—while the UK was ranked 14, followed by Japan (15), the US (24), and China (46).
- India is at present the youngest nation in the world, with over 50% of its population below the age of 25 and over 65% below the age of 35.
- At present, as per the 'Nature Aging', India's neighbours fared relatively better—Bangladesh (86), Sri Lanka (94), Nepal (102), and Pakistan (118).
- India ranked 106 on the universal healthcare access.
- Canada, Australia, and New Zealand were the best.
- On food security, India was at the 97th place, while Denmark emerged as the best.
- On pension, Argentina and Armenia were among the best, while India was ranked 102.
- On mental health: Kuwait was ranked the best, while India was at the 93rd place.
