    • Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023,
    • The Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, and
    • The Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act 2012 (POCSO)
  • Under the new Act, the punishment for sexual assault will be not less than 7 years, which may extend to 10 years, along with a fine.
  • The new bill mandates that evidence from a child be recorded within 7 days.

  • Punishment For Aggravated Penetrative Sexual Assault is rigorous imprisonment for life, and also a fine, or with death.
