The Former Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC), for crimes against humanity arrested in Manila.
During his reign, more than 5,000 people had been killed across the country, including 2,041 drug suspects eliminated in police operations.
He withdrew from the Hague-based ICC in March 2019.
But under the ICC rules, even if a state withdraws as a member, the court retains jurisdiction over crimes within its administration that are committed during the membership period.
