- The U.K. government and the Tamil Nadu government have joined hands to launch the UK-TN Partnership for Accelerating Carbon Neutral Transition.
- This partnership will focus on advancing the urban planning and mobility in the cities of Erode and Thoothukudi to the State’s transition towards the carbon neutrality.
- Two urban mobility projects were unveiled.
- The first project is “Climate-Resilient, Sustainable and Inclusive Urban Mobility” in Erode.
- The second project is “PACT-Digi-PULSE” which targets the city of Thoothukudi.
- The PACT-Digi-PULSE now stands for Partnering for Advancing Carbon-Neutral Transitions using Digital-Twin Based Planning for Urban Living and Sustainable Environment.
