- The Union Cabinet extended the Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) Scheme until March 31, 2026.
- The Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) was launched on October 2, 2019.
- It aims to provide the speedy justice in cases of sexual offenses particularly under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and rape cases.
- This Scheme has an impressive disposal rate of 96.28%.
- In 2024 alone, 88,902 new cases were instituted and 85,595 cases were resolved under this Scheme.
