Kavach 4.0 in India

As per the Union railway ministry, 10,000 locomotives & 9,000 km of railway tracks would equip with the Kavach 4.0 in the first phase.
The nationwide implementation is aimed by December 2030.
When the train is running at 130 kmph, the KAVACH automatically reduced the speed to 120 kmph through the caution zone and restored it back to 130 kmph after exiting.
The train will be stopped 50 m from a red signal without the driver's intervention.
The driver didn’t use the horn, but KAVACH automatically sounded it while passing the level crossing gate.
The train will automatically be stopped at a red signal even when the driver has attempted to cross it.
