- ISRO successfully conducted the ignition trial of the indigenous CE20 cryogenic engine.
- It will power the upper stage of ISRO’s mighty Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM-III).
- The Cryogenic engines are highly complex as they use supercooled fuels (liquid hydrogen and oxygen).
- The human-rated version of LVM-III will be used in the Gaganyaan mission that will require in-orbit ignition.
