  • TN govt has decided to set up a native seed species vault at Tamil Nadu Forest Academy, Coimbatore, at a cost of 10 crore.
  • The Community-based eco-tourism will be developed at Rameswaram & Gulf of Mannar at Rs 15 cr.
  • Dark sky park will be set-up at Kolli Hills, Namakkal.
  • Crocodile conservation will be set up at Anakkarai Kumbakonam range at Rs 2.50 crore.
  • In order to commemorate the legacy of renowned wildlife biologist AJT Johnsingh, the government has proposed to create an annual ‘Dr AJT Johnsingh Wildlife Conservation Award’.
    • It will be awarded to a wildlife enthusiast who has immensely contributed towards excellence in wildlife conservation.
