- The MeitY in collaboration with the Drone Federation India (DFI), launched the National Innovation Challenge for Drone Application and Research (NIDAR).
- This is launched under the ‘SwaYaan – a Capacity Building for Human Resource Development in Unmanned Aircraft Systems’ initiative.
- The drones are designed to contribute to disaster management by scouting and delivering essential supplies in affected areas.
