  • Judoka Kapil Parmar (Madhya Pradesh) created history by winning India's first-ever medal in judo at a Paralympic Games.
  • Praveen Kumar (Uttar Pradesh) wins gold in the men's high jump T64 final with a record-breaking jump of 2.08m.
  • Indian athlete Hokato Hotozhe Sema (Nagaland) has won the bronze medal in the men's shot put F57 class.
  • China (220), Great Britain (124), USA (105), Brazil and Ukraine finishing as the top 5 nations by total no of medals.
  • India's medals tally at the Paris Paralympics has ended at 29 - seven golds, nine silvers and 13 bronze.
  • This was making it the most rewarded campaign for the country.
  • Track-and-field has contributed 17 medals to this tally, four of them gold.
  • Mariyappan Thangavelu (Tamilnadu) became the first Indian to win the medals at the three consecutive Paralympics.
  • He won the gold medal at Rio 2016 and silver at Tokyo 2020.
  • India stood at the 18th position in the points table.
  • Pakistan ended the campaign at the 78/79th position, with just a solitary bronze.
