Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day 2024 - October 15

This day dedicated to honouring the memory of babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.
The day is also meant to raise awareness about the emotional and mental challenges faced by those impacted by pregnancy and infant loss.
Nearly 20 lakhs babies are stillborn each year, and many of these deaths are avoidable.
The probability of miscarriage before 20 weeks gestation in women aged 20 to 30 is 8.9%.
This increase to 74.7% for women over the age of 40.
