- The COP29 Presidency - Azerbaijan has launched the Reducing Methane from Organic Waste Declaration.
- Over 30 states are the initial signatories.
- They are combinedly represent 47 per cent of the global methane emissions from organic waste.
- Also, Azerbaijan in partnership with the FAO, has officially launched the Baku Harmoniya Climate Initiative for Farmers.
- It aims to acknowledge the fundamental role of farmers as agents of climate action.
