The Bohag Bihu, also called the Rongali Bihu or Xaat Bihu, is a traditional Indian celebration primarily observed in Assam and other Northeastern states.
The celebration commemorates the Assamese New Year, the arrival of spring, and the beginning of the harvest season.
It is celebrated over seven days in Assam.
Kati Bihu and Magh Bihu, the other two Bihu festivals, are observed in October and January, respectively.
