- They are native to the steppes and semi-arid regions of Central Asia.
- This ancient species has roamed the Earth since the Ice Age.
- By 2003, just 6 percent of the floppy-nosed ungulates remained in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
- There are now 1.9 million saiga antelope across Eurasia.
