VELC payload of ADITYA-L1

Using the unique data obtained with the VELC onboard ADITYA-L1, ISRO is able to precisely estimate the onset time of a coronal mass ejection (CME).
This marks the first scientific result from India's solar mission.
The Visible Emission Line Coronagraph (VELC) payload allowed for close observation of the CME near the Sun's surface.
