13.'Nadpudan Ungalodu Mananala Sevai' initiative

Launched on:

  • October 27, 2022

Ministry or Nodal Agency:

  • Department of Medical and Health Services, Tamil Nadu

Aim:

  • To provide solutions to those experiencing mental stress due to various issues and to offer necessary guidance to school and college students before and after exams.

Beneficiary:

  • Individuals experiencing mental stress
  • School and college students needing guidance before and after exams

Eligibility:

  • The scheme will be available in all government hospitals
  • Initially launched in government medical colleges or main government hospitals in each district
  • Counselling provided by two psychiatrists, four psychologists, and 20 counsellors
  • Toll-free number 14416 available for mental health counselling

 

14.TANSEED Scheme (Tamil Nadu Government's Innovation-Based Startup Seed Fund)

Launched on:

  • December 30, 2022.

Ministry or Nodal Agency:

  • The Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (Startup TN) is the nodal agency responsible for the TANSEED program.

Aim:

  • The TANSEED program aims to support startups by providing grant funding to help them design innovative solutions, create substantial market valuations, and generate significant employment opportunities, thereby bringing positive changes to society.
  • The program also focuses on promoting green technology, rural livelihood enhancement, and startups with women as primary stakeholders.

Beneficiary:

  • The beneficiaries of the TANSEED program are startups, especially those focusing on green technology, rural livelihood enhancement, and those with women as primary stakeholders.

Eligibility:

  • Startups must be headquartered in Tamil Nadu.
  • Startups must have certification from the Indian government's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
  • Startups should apply through the website www.startuptn.in by March 5, 2023.
  • Startups that are selected will receive equity funding, with amounts varying based on their focus areas.
  • Rs. 15 lakhs for startups focusing on green technology, rural livelihood enhancement, and those with women as primary stakeholders.
  • Rs. 10 lakhs for other sector-based startups.

 

15.Ensure Nutrition Scheme

Date:

  • The special medical camp was inaugurated on June 14, 2024.

Ministry or Nodal Agency:

  • The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and the Health Department are the nodal agencies responsible for implementing the scheme.

Aim:

  • The aim of the 'Ensure Nutrition' scheme is to raise children under the age of 6 in good health by providing medical assistance to those in need and a special nutrition scheme for those requiring nutritional support.
  • The initiative focuses on identifying and addressing severe and moderate malnutrition in children.

Beneficiary:

  • The beneficiaries of the scheme are children under the age of 6 who are identified with severe and moderate malnutrition.
  • This includes those in need of medical help and nutritional support.

Eligibility:

  • Children under the age of 6.
  • Children must be identified with severe or moderate malnutrition through special medical examinations conducted by ICDS and the Health Department.
  • Children who are found to require medical assistance or nutritional support as per the scheme’s guidelines.
  • These camps are conducted in all districts for a period of one month, and the details of the children undergoing special medical examinations are uploaded and tracked using a specially designed application.

 

16.Chief Minister in Field Visit Scheme

Launched on:

  • February 01, 2023 at Vellore district.

Aim

  • The "Chief Minister in Field Visit" scheme aims to ensure that citizens visiting government offices and hospitals leave with satisfaction.
  • The initiative focuses on reviewing administrative work, development, and welfare schemes across various districts.

Ministry or Nodal Agency

  • The scheme is overseen by the Chief Minister's Office in collaboration with key ministers, departmental secretaries, and heads of departments.

Beneficiary

  • Citizens of Tamil Nadu, particularly those in the Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupathur, and Tiruvannamalai districts, will benefit from the improved implementation and monitoring of government schemes.

Eligibility

  • All citizens of Tamil Nadu are eligible to benefit indirectly from the enhanced government services and schemes reviewed and improved through this initiative.
  • This scheme exemplifies the Tamil Nadu government's commitment to prioritizing citizen satisfaction and ensuring the effective implementation of development and welfare schemes.

 

17."Reaching Out to You in Your Village"

Launch Date:

  • January 31, 2023

Ministry/Nodal Agency:

  • Tamil Nadu Government

Aim:

  • To ensure that all government welfare schemes and services reach the people efficiently without any hindrance by conducting regular field visits and directly addressing public grievances.

Beneficiaries:

  • All residents of Tamil Nadu, especially those in rural areas
  • Individuals who utilize government services and welfare schemes

Eligibility:

  • All citizens of Tamil Nadu can benefit from this scheme, as it focuses on public welfare and addressing grievances related to government services.

Objective:

  • To ensure swift and easy reach of government services to the people.
  • To maintain transparency in administration.
  • To directly address and resolve public grievances.
  • To ensure the benefits of welfare schemes reach the furthest corners of society, making Tamil Nadu a leading state in India.

Scheme Details and Implementation:

Frequency and Duration of Visits:

  • Each district collector will stay in a taluk once a month for 24 hours, from 9 AM to 9 AM the next day.
  • The visits will take place on the fourth Wednesday of every month (excluding Chennai district).

Field Inspections and Activities:

  • Morning Inspections: Primary health centers, ration shops, cooperative societies, schools, and government offices.
  • Afternoon Review Meeting: Between 2.30 PM and 4.30 PM, officials will discuss feedback from the morning inspections.
  • Public Interactions: From 4.30 PM to 6 PM, officials will interact with the public and receive representations from them.
  • Evening Inspections: Facilities run by the Social Welfare Department, bus stands, and public toilets.

Next Day Activities

  • Morning Review: Inspection of basic civic amenities in different villages and review of the Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme before returning to the headquarters.

Pre-Visit Preparations:

  • A week before the scheduled visit, a team of officials from different departments will be sent to all firkas in the taluk to receive representations from the public.

Annual Calendar:

  • Collectors are required to prepare a calendar at the beginning of each year to ensure uniform coverage of all taluks in their districts.

Public Awareness:

  • The scheme will be adequately publicized to ensure that the maximum number of people are aware of it and use the opportunity to air their grievances.

 

18.The Chief Minister with the People initiative

Date:

  • December 18, 2023

Ministry or Nodal Agency:

  • Various government departments including Revenue, Commerce and Industries, Municipal Administration, Urban Development, Adi Dravidar Welfare, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities Welfare, Police, Housing and Urban Development, Labour and Skill Development, Cooperation, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Transport, Social Welfare, and Women Empowerment.

Aim:

  • To conduct welfare camps under the initiative "Chief Minister with the People" to promptly address citizen concerns and enhance their well-being.

Beneficiary:

  • 1,598 young individuals appointed through Tamil Nadu government's employment exams for departments such as Public Works, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Water Resources, and Rural Development.

Eligibility:

  • Eligible candidates who passed the Tamil Nadu government's employment exams for various departments, aimed at providing employment opportunities and addressing youth unemployment.

 

19.Our School Blossoming School

  • The initiative "Our School Blossoming School" was launched in Tamil Nadu, under the auspices of the Education Department, aiming to organize student groups in schools to promote cleanliness and welfare.

Ministry or Nodal Agency:

  • Department of School Education, Government of Tamil Nadu

Aim:

  • The aim is to transform schools into clean and conducive environments for students.

Beneficiary:

  • Students in all government schools across Tamil Nadu will benefit from this initiative.

Eligibility:

  • The initiative involves forming groups within schools to undertake tasks such as maintaining cleanliness, ensuring hygiene, organizing campus greening activities, promoting healthy eating habits, and preserving the cleanliness of water sources within school premises.
  • These groups are to be constituted involving students, teachers, school management committees, and alumni associations.
  • This initiative is crucial to enhance the cleanliness and maintenance standards of school premises, ensuring a conducive environment for learning and growth.
