Bhima
- The Bhima originates from the Bhimashankar Hills. It flows through Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary.
- The Bhima flows southeast for 861 kilometers through Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Telangana states, before entering the Krishna River
Tungabhadra
- The Tungabhadra is formed by the unification of the Tunga and the Bhadra originating from Gangamoola.
- Koodli is the place where two rivers, the Tunga River and Bhadra River, meet to give rise to the Tungabhadra River.
- Tungabhadra is a major inter-State (Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh) project in the basin.
- Flows through the state of Karnataka during most of its course, before flowing along the border between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and ultimately joining the Krishna River in Andhra Pradesh.
The Musi
- Musi River is a tributary of the Krishna River in the Deccan Plateau flowing through Telangana state in India. Hyderabad stands on the banks of Musi river.
The Koyna
- Famous hill station in the Western Ghats.
- Koyna Dam is constructed on Koyna River. Due to its electricity generating potential through Koyna Hydroelectric Project Known as the Life Line of Maharashtra.
- The Koyna region, close to the west coast of India, is considered an area of Reservoir Triggered Seismicity (RTS).
- Three years after builders completed the Koyna Dam, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit the area in 1967.
- The phenomenon of dam-triggered earthquakes is known as reservoir-induced seismicity, but not much is known about the phenomenon.
