- It is a project for the rehabilitation of Non-Resident Indian’s (NRI’s) returning to the state following the loss of employment due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
- A target for the successful implementation of the project will be within 100 days from 1st July 2020.
- For Kerala, the importance of NRI remittances is much more than any other state in the country
- In 2018, NRI remittances were Rs 85,000 crore in the state.
