- The five-year strategy for economic growth was unveiled by Chief Minister MK Stalin as TN targets a $1 trillion economy by quadrupling its exports in nine years.
- TN will adopt a two-pronged approach,
- export promotion and
- export diversification
- This is to achieve its aim of a $1 trillion economy by 2030.
- The State is setting up an Export Promotion Council under the Chief Secretary to boost exports.
- TN is also looking at developing two economic employment enclaves, in Mannasellore and Thoothukudi, in one phase.
- Tamilnadu is third place in India in terms of exports.
- The slogan for this will be Made in Tamilnadu and Etrrumathiyil Ettram (ஏற்றுமதியில் ஏற்றம்).
