- The former Indian captain M.S. Dhoni surpassed the 10,000 ODI runs milestone during the second one-day international match against England at Lords.
- He becomes the fourth Indian batsman to do so after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid.
- Dhoni became the second wicket-keeper to complete 10,000 runs in one-day internationals.
- Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara was the other wicket-keeper.
- Dhoni achieved another milestone by becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper to take 300 catches in ODIs.
- He is the fourth wicket-keeper to achieve the feat after Adam Gilchrist, Mark Boucher and Kumar Sangakkara.
