10,000 ODI runs - Dhoni

  • The former Indian captain M.S. Dhoni surpassed the 10,000 ODI runs milestone during the second one-day international match against England at Lords.

  • He becomes the fourth Indian batsman to do so after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid.
  • Dhoni became the second wicket-keeper to complete 10,000 runs in one-day internationals.
  • Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara was the other wicket-keeper.
  • Dhoni achieved another milestone by becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper to take 300 catches in ODIs.
  • He is the fourth wicket-keeper to achieve the feat after Adam Gilchrist, Mark Boucher and Kumar Sangakkara.
