- President of India inaugurated the 100th Annual Conference of the Indian Economic Association at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur of Andhra Pradesh.
- Indian Economic Association is a registered body of Indian economic professionals, established way back in 1917.
- The objective of IEA is to provide a forum for debate and discussion of policy-oriented issues related to economic growth of the country and growth in agriculture, industry and service sectors .
