- The Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated the 11th National Krishi Vigyan Kendra Conference 2020 in New Delhi.
- The first Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) was established in 1974 at Puducherry under the administrative control of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore on a pilot basis.
- At present there are more than 700 KVKs across the country.
