- Recognising the outstanding devotion to duty of uniformed service officers, 128 officers will receive ‘Anna Medal’ this year.
- Every year, these medals are announced on September 15, the birth anniversary of C N Annadurai, former chief minister.
- Officers from the police, fire and rescue services, prison, home guards and finger print bureau personnel are eligible for a bronze medal and a grant according to their rank as specified in the Medal Rules.
