- The two-day summit is themed “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”.
- Three working sessions was held as part of the G20 Summit Agenda.
- These are food and energy security, health, and digital transformation.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the G20 Summit 2022 hosted by Indonesia.
- While addressing the G20 working session on Food and Security, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s long-standing position in the favour of dialogue and diplomacy in Ukraine.
- Russian President Vladmir Putin, and leaders of Brazil and Mexico were not taking part in this event.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was invited to address the summit virtually.
- G20 Troika refers to the top grouping within the G20 that consists of the current, previous and the incoming presidencies — Indonesia, Italy and India.
- India will assume the G20 presidency on 1st December 2022 from Indonesia, and will convene the G20 Leaders’ Summit for the first time in India in 2023.
- The 18th G20 Summit will be held in New Delhi in 2023.
- Indonesian President Joko Widodo handed over the G20 presidency to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
