- Dhanush Srikanth (16) became the first shooter with hearing impairment to win a national-level medal in regular category top in the U-21 category of 10m air rifle.
- He shot better than the senior world record of by Alexander Dryagin of Russia and junior record of by China's Yuefeng Wang.
- He already clinched gold in the 10m air rifle event of the U-21 category at the Khelo India Games.
