- 19 years old Mick Schumacher, son of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher, won the 2018 Formula Three (F3) European title in Hockenheim, Germany.
- Mick Schumacher finished at 2nd position in the second race of the day and won his first junior championship with 347 points.
- With his first F3 title he has qualified for a FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) ‘super licence’.
- FIA ‘super licence’ is a prerequisite to participate in Formula One races.
