- The 22nd edition of United Nations Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) was held at UNHRC in Geneva from 2nd & 3rd September 2019.
- In this session, the UN Committee on CRPD took up India’s Report on ‘Status of Disability in India’ for consideration.
- An Indian delegation was headed by Mrs. Shakuntala D. Gamlin (Secretary of DEPwD).
- India ratified this Convention on 1st October 2017 in pursuance of Article 35 of the Convention.
