- It is also known as Gujarat Games 2022.
- It will be held at six cities namely Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
- This is the first time the state of Gujarat is hosting a national sporting event.
- The 35th edition was held in Kerala in 2015.
- The first edition of the Indian Olympic Games took place in Lahore before the independence of India in 1924.
- Two new events Yogasana and Mallakhamba, and Indigenous games like Kho-Kho and Kabbadi are also included.
- The roar Savaj is the mascot for this edition.
- The anthem is based on the theme of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.
- 36 sports will be hosted with the tagline “Sports for Unity”.
