- Puducherry CM along with Guyana PM has recently inaugurated the 5th World Tamils Economic Conference at Puducherry along with Pondicherry Global Economic Summit 2018.
- It was organized by World Tamils Economic Foundation and Madras Development Society with the support of Durban-Indian community.
- The last conference was held at Durban in South Africa.
