- The President of India graced the ‘Vajra mahothsava’ – Diamond Jubilee Celebrations on completion of 60 years of Vidhana Soudha, and addressed the members of both Houses of the Karnataka Legislature at Bengaluru.
- The Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, the seat of power in the state has played host to personages like Queen Elizabeth II, and international leaders who congregated at the Legislative Assembly chamber for the 1986 SAARC Summit.
