- India is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its independence or the 76th Independence Day.

- To celebrate this day, the Government of India has started an initiative called “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
- On March 12, 2021, Prime Minister has launched the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
- It aims to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence that started a 75-week countdown to our anniversary of independence.
- Sixteen parks in Delhi bearing the names of several unsung heroes of the freedom struggle were dedicated by Lt Governor V K Saxena.
