Compulsory Aadhar in TN Schools

- Tamilnadu School Education Department has announced that students who are studying in government and government-aided schools must provide Aadhar card details.
- Information including parents must be collected by the schools and uploaded in Educational Management Information System (EMIS) portal managed by State Government.
- The Aadhar registration and collection of these details for EMIS is done by Samagra Shiksha, which is partly funded by the Union Government.
