Pashmina Testing Centre

- Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) announced that it would set up a Pashmina testing center in Leh.
- It will be set up in partnership with the lab of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh to check the quality of pashmina collected.
- Pashmina is a fine type of Kashmiri wool which comes from 4 distinct breeds of the Cashmere goats.
