- Tamil Nadu government has revived the ambitious Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) along seven key stretches in Chennai.
- BRTS will encompass:
- Old Mahabalipuram Road,
- GST Road,
- The stretch between Koyambedu and Poonamallee, and
- Chromepet-Thoraipakkam Road.
- BRTS combines the flexibility and affordability of buses with the efficiency and quality of metro rail.
