- Union Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh has inaugurated 2 new bridges in Jammu & Kashmir.
- 1 km long Ujh bridge in Kathua district
- 617.40 m long Basantar bridge in Samba district
- Both of these bridges have been constructed by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under Project Sampark.
- The 1000-metre long Ujh bridge is the longest bridge constructed by the BRO.
About
- BRO was formed on 7 May 1960 to secure India's borders and develop infrastructure in remote areas of the north and north-east states of the country.
