- The Naval Ships INS Kolkata and INS Shakti of India reached Brunei to take part in the ADMM Plus (ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus) Exercise.
- This is the Maritime Security and Counter Terrorism from 01 to 09 May.
- ADMM plus Exercise on Maritime Security & Counter Terrorism is a multinational exercise of ADMM Plus countries group.
- This edition will commence at Brunei and conclude at Singapore.
- During the course of the exercise the Indian Navy would engage with participating navies from various ASEAN and other countries through professional interactions in harbour and complex operations at sea.
ADMM-Plus
- The ADMM-Plus is a platform of the 10-member bloc.
- It consists of ASEAN, and its eight dialogue partners.
- The aim of the ADMM-Plus is to strengthen the security and defence cooperation among the member countries of the grouping.
