- The Union Cabinet approves affiliation of 100 schools with Sainik School Society.
- The Union Cabinet given its approval for affiliation of one hundred government sector as well as private sector schools with the Sainik School Society.
- The Affiliated Sainik Schools will be launched under Sainik Schools Society of Ministry of Defence.
