- It is a symbol of geological portrayal of the mainland, including the island of Madagascar.
- The 2020 theme is “Inclusive and sustainable industrialisation in the AfCFTA and COVID-19 era”.
- On 21 March 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda, the Agreement establishing an African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) was signed,
- It is to create a single African market for goods and services and the world’s largest free trade area by number of countries.
