- Agra has initiated decentralized garbage processing plants to manage organic waste from bulk waste generators.
- This model can drastically reduce the transportation cost incurred by the municipal government.
- Agra generates a daily municipal solid waste of 916 tonnes per day (TPD) with a per capita waste generation rate of 0.48 kg.
- Compost derived from flower waste has been made available on e-commerce sites Jio-mart and Amazon.
