- Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) under Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs signed a MoU with Amazon.
- The agreement is signed for e-marketing of products made by Self Help Groups (SHGs) across the country in the urban areas.
- The collaboration aims,
- to provide access to wider customer base for products made by SHGs and
- to strengthen the mission of creating sustainable livelihoods in urban areas.
About DAY-NULM
- It is a Flagship programme of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households.
- It efforts to make an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor.
