  • In Madhya Pradesh, the first international flight from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport of Indore left for Dubai today with 153 passengers on board.
  • It was declared as an International Airport in May 2019 under sub-rule (b) of rule 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950.
  • The airport is named after Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore (1725 – 1795), belonging to the Holkar dynasty of the Maratha Empire.
