In Madhya Pradesh, the first international flight from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport of Indore left for Dubai today with 153 passengers on board.
It was declared as an International Airport in May 2019 under sub-rule (b) of rule 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950.
The airport is named after Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore (1725 – 1795), belonging to the Holkar dynasty of the Maratha Empire.
