- The SEBI Chairman Ajay Tyagi has been given a term extension of 18 months till February 2022.
- The decision was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister.
- The government had granted a 6-month extension to him before the expiry of his three-year tenure on March 1, 2020.
