- Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has come out with 'Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) First Amendment Regulations, 2023'.
- It will come into force on March 1, 2024.
- Alcoholic beverage shall not contain any nutritional information on the label except energy content in kcal.
- Such declaration is related to energy content shall be voluntary.
- Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Regulations, 2018 was stated that alcoholic beverages should not contain any nutritional information on the label.
