e-Sansad and e-Vidhan are mission mode projects under Digital Indiato make the functioning of Parliament and state Legislatures paperless.
e-Vidhan would make the functioning of state legislatures paperless, transparent, productive and more accountable and economise the entire Legislative process.
Whip
A whip is a representative of political party in legislative body who is also a member in the same and has responsible for maintaining discipline of this party members within the legislative body.
The main duty of whip is ensuring that their members in Parliament and Legislature vote in line with the Party’s official policy on important issues.
The office of Whip is neither mentioned in the Constitution of India, nor in the Rules of the House, nor in the Parliamentary Statute. It is based on conventions of Parliamentary government.
