- The Speaker Appavu has announced that when there is no Speaker in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, there will be four alternative speakers to hold the Assembly.
- Anbazhagan, SR Raja, Udayasooriyan and DRP Raja will be the alternate leaders.
