  • The Anang Tal Lake in South Delhi has been declared a monument of national importance by the Ministry of Culture.
  • It is located near Qutub Minar in Mehrauli in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
  • It was created in 1060 AD by the founder of Delhi-Raja Anang Pal Tomar.
  • The Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 defines the Ancient Monument which has been in existence for not less than 100 years.
  • The Archaeological Survey of India declares a site as Monument of National importance.
