The Anang Tal Lake in South Delhi has been declared a monument of national importance by the Ministry of Culture.
It is located near Qutub Minar in Mehrauli in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
It was created in 1060 AD by the founder of Delhi-Raja Anang Pal Tomar.
The Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 defines the Ancient Monument which has been in existence for not less than 100 years.
The Archaeological Survey of India declares a site as Monument of National importance.
