- The Anang Tal Lake in South Delhi has been declared a monument of national importance by the Ministry of Culture.
- It is located near Qutub Minar in Mehrauli in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
- It was created in 1060 AD by the founder of Delhi-Raja Anang Pal Tomar.
- The Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 defines the Ancient Monument which has been in existence for not less than 100 years.
- The Archaeological Survey of India declares a site as Monument of National importance.
