Scientists have recently classified a new snake species in the Western Himalayas, Anguiculus Dicaprioi.
It honours the actor and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio, for his efforts in raising awareness about climate change and wildlife conservation.
Anguiculus Dicaprioi is a member of the Colubridae family, the most extensive classification of snakes, consisting of various species and groups.
The term “Anguiculus” means “small snake” in Latin.
