- The Chief Minister Stalin announced the release of 700 life convicts to mark the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister C N Annadurai on September 15.
- He also announced that Avadi and Tambaram will be upgraded as police Commissionerate.
- He also proposed to set up a police commission to reform the police force.
- He announced the setting up of State Cyber Crime Investigation Centre to provide training and crack cybercrimes.
- A total of 1,000 youths from fishing communities would be appointed to work along with the Coastal Security Group (CSG).
- The Boys and Girls Clubs would be set up to ensure that children from socially and economically backward situations do not get involved in anti-social and illegal activities.
- A weekly off would be granted to police personnel from Constable Grade II to Head Constable
- The receptionists would be appointed in each of the police stations.
